We are super excited to have you as our guests at Shangri-La. We know you’re going to love it here. Our goal is your complete satisfaction and maximum fun. Below is a schedule of activities this week at Shangri-La. Feel free to participate in, cheerlead, or just take in and enjoy any or all of the events.
SATURDAY: 8:00 p.m. Free introduction to Shangri-La. Meet at Bait House for a quick 15 minute introduction and tour. Everyone is welcome.
SUNDAY: 5:00 p.m. Free Fishing Seminar: Join our good friend and professional fishing guide, Terry Larson, for a short introduction to fishing our tremendous chain of lakes.
6:00 p.m. Pot Luck Cookout: Come meet your neighbors and hosts. Meet at the Activity Center for good food and great company. Bring something to grill for your family and a dish to pass. We'll provide the utensils, plates and cups, coffee and beverages, and the condiments.
MONDAY: 10:00 a.m. Deer farm trip: Free bus transportation and lots of fun. Bring some money for admission and souvenirs. We’ll be back by noon. Everyone is welcome. Meet at the bus.
1:00 p.m. Free canoeing and instruction. Everyone welcome. Please bring life jacket and seat cushion if you have one. Meet at the canoe rack.
TUESDAY:
2:00 p.m. Guided pontoon boat excursion. Awesome sights and fun. Wade or swim in the crystal clear Mississippi River, identify native fish and wildlife, climb the renowned "sand hill," and experience the chain of lakes. Snacks and beverages included. Meet at the Party Barge Pontoon. We should arrive back about 4:30. $3 donation per person suggested. Bring a towel, camera, and sun screen. *PLEASE sign up in the Snack Shack before noon on Tuesday.WEDNESDAY: 3:00 p.m. Minnow races. Kids age 12 and under meet at the shuffleboard court for fast minnow action. Young children may be assisted by an adult. Free prizes.
THURSDAY: 1:00 p.m. Guided canoe trip. Drift and paddle the scenic upper Mississippi River. Wonderful and very relaxing; an excursion you’ll truly enjoy. Please bring sun screen, a towel, snacks and beverages. $10 per person. Meet at the canoe rack for free bus transportation. We’ll be back before 5:00 p.m. *PLEASE sign up in the Snack Shack by Wednesday eve.
*PARENTS NIGHT OUT! 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Leave the kids with us and you go have fun. We’ll provide the child care, a snack, and activities. $2 per child per hour. See Ryan or Lori for more details and a possible family discount.
FRIDAY: 10:00 a.m. Kids scavenger hunt; age 12 and under. Free Prizes. Meet at the Snack Shack for great adventures and prizes.
Campfire! Enjoy free marshmallows and popcorn over an open fire. Meet at the main beach fire pit at 8:30 p.m.
